The International Guild of Knot Tyers, North America will hold their Annual General Meeting this September 18-20 at the The Maritime Museum of Sandusky, Sandusky, Ohio. This is a joint meeting between the IGKT-NA and the IGKT. It is the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for IGKT-NA and the Half-yearly meeting for the IGKT. All members and individuals who are interested in learning more about knot tying are welcome to register!

Join Beagle Bay Knot Works as they welcome the early arriving knotters to the Lake Erie Shores and Islands Region. Located 7.3 miles from the Hotel, Randy and Christine invite you to unwind from your travels and enjoy a complimentary cook-out of burgers, brats and refreshments. There is no charge for this evening, however, please register on the event registration to provide a count for planning purposes.

Creative Competition: Covered Bottle
Be sure to enter 1 covered bottle in this inaugural competition. It must be tied by an IGKTNA Member and must have been tied since September of 2024. The bottles will be on public display for the meeting and the winner crowned at the Knot Tyers Supper.
President’s Lanyard Competition
Customize your own credentials lanyard to showcase your favorite knots and skill. Judged by your Guild President, Jim Wolf, bragging rights and swag will be awarded at Dinner Saturday Evening.

Private tour of Marblehead Lighthouse State Park- visit the grounds of the oldest lighthouse in continuous operation on the Great Lakes. Spend the day with us at Put-in-Bay. Historically known for the Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial This National Park holds the 352 foot marble spire honoring all who fought and died there on September 10, 1813. The decisive Naval battle in the War of 1812 fought in the Lake Erie Waters, was the turning point for victory over the British. This charming island is also home to many restaurants, shops, aquatic center, caves and winery’s. Group ticket pricing has been reserved, register for your round trip discounted ticket on the event registration. We are tentatively planning to return to the mainland on the 6:30 PM ferry, but you may return on any Ferry scheduled that day.
